On the occasion of Ceramic Art Fair Paris, which will take place at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine from October 21 to 25, 2025, Gallery Gaïa & Romeo will present a selection of emblematic ceramics from the 1950s to 1970s, the golden age of Italian ceramics.

In post-war Italy, ceramics broke free.

Released from the dark memories of recent history, it became a breath of fresh air, a living material in a world being rebuilt. Driven by innovation and rooted in tradition, it turned naturally toward modernity.

This movement both intimate and collective, marked the emergence of a new hope.

Italy shaped a warm and luminous aesthetic, deeply Mediterranean. An identity that circulates, asserts itself, and reclaims its place: ‘ Made in Italy’ not as a label, but as a way of life.

The collection presented here by Gallery Gaïa & Romeo comes from that moment.

It carries the energy of the 1950s that balance between memory and invention. It was never meant to stand still. It is meant to exist, to move from hand to hand, gaze to gaze and in doing so, to endure.

The role of Gallery Gaïa & Romeo is simple: to make that happen.

To be conduits is to create the conditions for such an encounter.

What matters is not preservation, but transmission to expose these works to the light they already carry within.
