Terra che rivive aims to present the work of Carlo Zauli, unquestionably regarded as one of the most important sculptor-ceramists of the twentieth century, through two exhibitions in prestigious locations in his homeland: Romagna. For Zauli, Romagna was never simply a biographical detail or a place of birth, but rather a profound source of inspiration for much of his research and the very foundation of his sculptural language.

This exhibition marks the sixth chapter in a traveling series dedicated to Zauli’s oeuvre, promoted by the museum that bears his name since 2007, which has already traveled to Kyoto, Tokyo, and Turin, among other cities. On this occasion, the exhibitions are built around a dialogue between Zauli’s thematically presented works and the evocative spaces hosting them, aiming to comprehensively narrate the artist’s sculptural research, both chronologically and expressively.

To coincide with the exhibition, a major monograph edited by Flaminio Gualdoni and published by Danilo Montanari Editore has been released.
